Nestlé India reported a 48% year-on-year increase in net profit for the first quarter of FY2026-27, driven by strong volume-led growth across its product portfolio despite a challenging consumption environment. The company posted a net profit of ₹1,028 crore, compared with ₹694 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, while revenue from operations rose 8.5% to ₹5,112 crore.

Management attributed the performance to broad-based demand, premiumisation, continued product innovation and improved operational execution. Nestlé also highlighted sustained momentum in key categories including coffee, confectionery and prepared dishes, while continuing to invest in manufacturing capacity and distribution expansion to support long-term growth.

The results reflect resilient consumer demand for branded packaged foods and reinforce confidence in India’s food and beverage sector, even amid inflationary pressures and evolving consumption patterns.
