The Telangana Food Safety Department has seized 3,800 kg of cream worth ₹9.22 lakh and suspended the food business licences of M/s Saraswathi Dairy Products India Pvt. Ltd. and Divya Enterprises following inspections carried out on July 7 and 8 in Sangareddy district.
Officials uncovered multiple food safety violations, including misbranding of products such as Keston Curd and Divya Curds, misleading claims on Keston Paneer, the use of expired laboratory reagents and chemicals for food testing, poor hygiene and sanitation, inadequate traceability records, improper storage practices, pest infestation and structural deficiencies.
During the enforcement drive, the department also collected samples of milk, curd and paneer for laboratory analysis, with further action to be taken based on the test results. The crackdown underscores Telangana’s intensified focus on strengthening food safety compliance and ensuring that consumers receive safe, hygienic and properly labelled dairy products. (DairyNews)
