Parag Milk Foods has approved an investment of ₹105 crore to double its cheese manufacturing capacity from 60 metric tonnes per day (MT/day) to 120 MT/day, with the expansion expected to be completed by FY28. The investment will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt and is aimed at meeting rising demand for cheese and whey protein products.

The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its value-added products portfolio and support future growth across both retail and institutional segments. Under its Go Cheese brand, Parag Milk Foods currently holds around 35% of the domestic cheese market and supplies products through general trade, modern retail, e-commerce, quick commerce and food-service channels, including hotels and restaurants.

The company offers a broad cheese portfolio covering mozzarella, processed cheese, cheddar, cheese slices, spreads, cubes, sauces, cream cheese and speciality cheese solutions. Parag Milk Foods said the additional capacity will improve manufacturing efficiency, help meet growing customer demand and support product innovation as India’s cheese market continues to expand.
