Belarus significantly expanded its dairy exports through the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) during the first half of 2026, with sales increasing 1.5 times year-on-year to reach more than BYN 274 million (approximately US$93 million). Dairy products accounted for over 40% of the total value of agricultural exports traded on the exchange during the period, reinforcing the sector’s importance to Belarus’ export strategy.

The strongest demand came from buyers in Russia, while companies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and several other countries also actively purchased Belarusian dairy products through the exchange platform. The exchange attributed the strong growth to an expanding pool of international buyers, broader use of exchange-based trading mechanisms and the competitive pricing of Belarusian dairy products.

Officials said the continued expansion of exchange trading is improving market access for domestic dairy processors, enhancing export efficiency and strengthening Belarus’ position in regional dairy markets.
