Banas Dairy, one of India’s largest dairy cooperatives, has announced that its new dairy processing plant in Mitli village, Baghpat district (Uttar Pradesh) is targeted to be commissioned within the next 18 months, significantly strengthening its presence in the Delhi-NCR market.

The upcoming facility will have a milk processing capacity of 16 lakh litres per day (LLPD) and infrastructure to package 10 lakh litres of fresh milk daily, along with the production of 200 tonnes of curd per day and packaging of 2 lakh litres of buttermilk daily. The project is designed to meet rising demand for both liquid milk and value-added dairy products while enhancing supply chain efficiency across North India.

The expansion is also expected to increase milk procurement opportunities for dairy farmers, strengthen processing capabilities, and reinforce Banas Dairy’s strategy of expanding its national cooperative network. Once operational, the Baghpat facility will rank among the largest dairy processing plants in North India, supporting the cooperative’s long-term growth and improving access to one of India’s largest consumer markets.
