Indian Dairy Association (West Zone) in collaboration with BAIF organised a three-day training program on “Sustainable and Smart Dairying for Improved Performance and Profitability” at BAIF Central Research Station, Urulikanchan, from 15 to 17 April 2025.

The program was attended by 20 senior veterinary officers from reputed organisations like Banas Dairy, Schreiber Dynamix, Gokul Dairy, Amul Dairy, Bhagyalaxmi Dairy Farms, Krushal, and Elite Dairy Salem.

The event began with an inaugural session graced by Dr. Jayant Khadse (Head, BAIF Centre), Dr. J.B. Prajapati (Chairman, IDA WZ), Mr. Madhav Patgaonkar (Secretary, IDA WZ), Dr. Alok Juneja (Ex. VP BAIF & ZEC Member), Dr. Lata (Coordinator) and other faculty. Dr. J.B. Prajapati highlighted the significance of such capacity-building initiatives, offering a sharp perspective on the global and Indian dairy scenario.

The program featured expert lectures and field visits covering animal management, housing, feed and fodder, breeding, sorted sex semen, ethno-veterinary practices, clean milk production, AI applications, and more.

This training aims to equip veterinary officers to further train field workers and help farmers enhance milk productivity through modern, sustainable practices.

IDA invites suggestions for similar customized training programs for officials, field staff, and farmers.
