Goa State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, popularly known as Goa Dairy, has revised milk prices across most variants effective May 25, 2026, citing rising procurement, transportation, packaging and operational costs. According to the cooperative, prices of all milk variants have been increased by Re 1 per half litre and ₹2 per litre across its distribution network, while rates of High Fat Milk (Gold) remain unchanged.
Goa Dairy said the decision was taken after reviewing increasing input expenses and ongoing economic pressures affecting the dairy sector. Despite the latest hike, the cooperative maintained that its milk products continue to remain competitively priced compared to other dairy brands in the market while adhering to quality standards.
The price revision follows a series of milk price increases announced recently by major dairy cooperatives and private dairy brands across India amid rising cattle feed, fuel and logistics costs. Industry observers say continued inflationary pressure on dairy operations is pushing regional cooperatives to revise retail milk prices to maintain procurement sustainability and farmer support systems.
