Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation (COMFED) has increased the retail prices of Sudha milk and several dairy products across Bihar effective May 25, 2026, citing rising procurement, feed, packaging and operational costs. According to reports, Sudha milk prices have been raised by ₹2 to ₹3 per litre depending on the variant, while prices of products including paneer, curd, ghee, lassi and sweets have also been revised upward.
The price of Sudha Gold milk has reportedly increased by ₹3 per litre, while other popular variants such as Sudha Shakti and cow milk have also become costlier under the revised pricing structure. COMFED officials said the decision was taken to support dairy farmers and offset increasing input expenses linked to cattle feed, transportation and processing operations.
The cooperative, which markets products under the Sudha brand across Bihar, Jharkhand and neighbouring states, stated that the revision is necessary to maintain procurement sustainability and dairy operations amid inflationary pressures. The price hike follows similar milk price increases announced recently by several major dairy brands and cooperatives across India as the industry faces higher production and supply chain costs. Consumers in Bihar and Jharkhand have expressed concerns over rising household expenses following the latest revision in milk and dairy product prices.
