Consumers in Jaipur and Dausa will now pay more for Saras milk as Jaipur Zila Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Ltd announced a ₹2 per litre increase in milk prices effective May 21, 2026. The price revision comes amid rising input costs, including cattle feed, transportation and packaging expenses.

The hike follows recent milk price increases by major dairy brands such as Amul and Mother Dairy across several states. Along with milk, prices of dairy products like paneer have also increased, with reports indicating a ₹23 per kg rise in paneer prices.

Industry observers say the continuous rise in procurement and operational costs, coupled with summer-related supply pressure, is pushing dairy cooperatives to revise retail prices across India.

Rajasthan’s dairy sector has also been witnessing repeated price adjustments over the past year as cooperatives attempt to balance farmer remuneration with growing production costs. (timesofindia.indiatimes.com)
