Under the leadership of the state government, Rajasthan’s dairy industry has scaled annual turnover from around ₹8,000 crore to ₹10,000 crore, driven by enhanced focus on farmer income, milk procurement infrastructure and cattle-feed integration.

The rise in turnover signals stronger linkages between cooperative societies, private dairy processors and feed-value systems. As milk flows increase, so does demand for feed, fodder, veterinary services and processing upgrades — a wide-ranging ripple beneficial for the full ecosystem.

The dairy market size is already ₹1.43 lakh crore and growing at nearly 12% per annum, making it a prime target for automation, lab-hygiene gear, and turnkey systems.

“With Rajasthan contributing ~15% of India’s milk and experiencing per-capita availability of 1,171 g/day, the feed-demand curve is steepening — signalling rising demand for high-quality feed systems, maize-based fodder support, instrumentation and automation

Industry Insight:
For dairy equipment manufacturers, feed-supplement firms and value-added-product players, Rajasthan’s growth is a reminder that secondary markets (beyond the traditional dairy belts) are scaling up rapidly. These states offer fresh demand for automation, processing spares, feed-plant upgrades and trace-ability.
