Milma’s Thiruvananthapuram Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (TRCMPU) has rolled out a new one-litre “Milma Cow Milk” bottle, priced at ₹70—just ahead of the Onam festival . The launch, officiated by Kerala’s Animal Husbandry Minister J. Chinchurani and presided over by Finance Minister K. N. Balagopal, marks Milma’s entry into packaged bottled milk, aiming to boost market share and offer enhanced product convenience .
Initially available in Thiruvananthapuram, the product will later expand to Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha. Packaged in high-quality food-grade plastic, this milk variant contains 3.2% fat and 8.5% solids-not-fat, and stays fresh for up to three days under refrigeration . Additionally, TRCMPU reported a record ₹39 crore profit in the last fiscal year, of which 83% was distributed to farmers through incentives, subsidies, cattle feed, and welfare schemes—including educational assistance, medical support, and cattle insurance .
