In a strategic step towards revitalizing Madhya Pradesh’s dairy sector, Sanchi Dugdh Sangh and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) have inked an important agreement aimed at bolstering cooperative dairy infrastructure and services. The pact was formalized in the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Bhopal.
Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah emphasized the importance of cooperatives in driving inclusive rural prosperity and acknowledged Sanchi as a trusted, heritage dairy brand. He lauded NDDB’s technical expertise and its role in India’s dairy modernization efforts. The collaboration is expected to modernize milk procurement systems, upgrade processing facilities, and strengthen market linkages for dairy farmers in the region.
This partnership aligns with the Ministry of Cooperation’s broader strategy of deepening the cooperative movement across the country, particularly in states like Madhya Pradesh that have significant dairy potential but require capacity enhancement and operational modernization.
Amit Shah reiterated that cooperative institutions like Sanchi have the capacity to not only support farmers’ incomes but also deliver safe, high-quality dairy products to consumers, ensuring a win-win for producers and markets alike.
Industry Insight:
This alliance strengthens the cooperative dairy model, signaling fresh opportunities for technology upgradation, rural employment, and market competitiveness in tier-2 and tier-3 regions. Private players and allied sectors should watch for emerging procurement and product development collaborations in Madhya Pradesh.
